HMD has unveiled the Vibe 2 5G in India, following a series of teasers. The smartphone is the successor to the HMD Vibe, which was introduced in September 2025. The new model brings several improvements, including a larger battery.
The Vibe 2 5G features a 6.75-inch LCD display. This offers an HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T8200 chipset. This can be paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Additionally, the phone offers a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB.
In terms of cameras, the handset features a 50MP primary rear camera and an auxiliary lens. The details of the auxiliary lens have not been revealed at this time. For selfies, the phone has an 8MP camera.
The HMD Vibe 2 5G packs a 6,000mAh battery. However, it only supports 18W wired charging. The phone runs Android 16 out-of-the-box and will receive 2 years of security patches.
Additionally, the device includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP64 rating. Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C.
The Vibe 2 5G is available in Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue, and Peach Pink colour options.
Regarding pricing, the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at INR 10,999 (€105). The 4GB/128GB variant is priced at INR 11,999 (€115). The phone will be available for purchase via Flipkart on 26 May.
