Chinese tech firm OPPO has unveiled the OPPO Pad 6, the successor to the OPPO Pad 5, alongside its Reno 16 series. The standout change in the new model is the chipset: the Dimensity 9400+ has been replaced by the Dimensity 9500s, which is essentially a rebranded 9400+ with slightly weaker connectivity and RAM modules.
Other specifications remain unchanged: a 12.1-inch IPS screen with a proprietary 7:5 aspect ratio, a pair of 8MP cameras (rear and front), a 10,420mAh battery, Wi-Fi 7 support, 67W charging via a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, six speakers, and two microphones. As before, the device lacks cellular connectivity, satellite navigation, and a fingerprint scanner.
The colour options have seen minor updates: the classic white and black are now joined by a light blue instead of a light purple. Additionally, the matte screen version is still available, with OPPO claiming it is more advanced and less reflective. The company has also discontinued the base memory version, leaving three configurations: 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB.
