Huawei has unveiled its latest flagship smartwatches for children, the Huawei Supernova Watch X1 and X1 Pro. These devices stand out with a unique feature: they come equipped with two cameras. There is a 5MP front-facing camera and a 13MP rear camera. To ensure the rear camera can capture more than just the wearer’s skin, the watch is designed to fold open. Additionally, the Pro version can function as a standalone mini-camera, complete with a special case.
Supernova Watch X1 Pro
Another key feature of the Huawei Supernova Watch X1 and X1 Pro is the SIM card slot. This allows the watches to function independently of a smartphone, with support for 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. Like other children’s smartwatches, these devices have a location tracking feature that continues to work even if the watch is turned off. Huawei also highlights a proprietary algorithm that determines the user’s floor level using GPS and barometer data.
Supernova Watch X1
The Huawei Supernova Watch X1 and X1 Pro also offer standard smartwatch features like sleep and heart rate monitoring. The X1 Pro model comes with NFC support, double the storage capacity (64GB compared to 32GB), an extended package with a camera case and other accessories, and a rubber strap instead of silicone. The Watch X1 is available in blue and pink, while the Watch X1 Pro comes in black and a gradient of pink and purple.
