Honor’s Power2 smartphone, released in January, boasts an impressive 10,080 mAh battery, but the company shows no signs of slowing down. Chinese rumours today suggest that Honor is already developing the Power3, which could set a new record for mainstream smartphone battery capacity.
According to the rumours, the Power3 is targeting a battery capacity of 11,000-12,000 mAh, although the exact figure has not been confirmed. The device is expected to be powered by the forthcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8600 SoC.

The Power3 is rumoured to feature a 6.8-inch flat LTPS OLED screen with a “1.5K” resolution. This would mean, if the specs are accurate, it would have a 920-1,920 mAh bigger battery, the newer version of the same chipset (the Power2 uses the Dimensity 8500), and a screen similar in size and specs to its predecessor.
It may take a few months for Honor to officially release the Power3, so there is ample time for more rumours and leaks to surface. Keep an eye out for updates.
