In China, the device will be launched as the Red Magic Gaming Pad 5 Pro, skipping the fourth number due to tetraphobia. The global name for the device remains unknown. However, the previous generation was sold worldwide as the Red Magic Astra, with the company avoiding the number two in its naming conventions, so an Astra 2 is uncertain. The launch is scheduled for June, approximately a year after the release of its predecessor.
Red Magic has announced ten “advanced technologies” for the new device. However, no specific details have been revealed yet.
