Samsung made the stable One UI 8.5 update available for the Galaxy S24 series last week, initially offering it to users in the US and South Korea. Today, the company has extended the availability to the global market.
If you have not yet received a notification, you can manually check for the software update by navigating to **Settings > Software update > Download and install**. If that does not work, you might need to wait a day or two for the update to arrive.
The One UI 8.5 software introduces several new features and changes, despite the incremental version number. Among the enhancements are new AI features under the Galaxy AI banner. These include more powerful image editing tools, a smarter Bixby, and deeper integration with Perplexity AI. Additionally, the update brings new camera features such as Document scan, real-time log video previews, and the ability to record dual videos using the selfie camera and one of the back cameras simultaneously.
