Assassin’s Creed leaks continue to emerge, with the latest rumours surrounding the series’ upcoming witchcraft-inspired game, Assassin’s Creed Hexe, set to launch in 2027. According to j0nathan, a series of purported Hexe plot details have been circulating on Assassin’s Creed fan sites and social media. The game’s main hero is reportedly a woman named Anika, who has an older Assassin mentor named Wolfgang.

The leak also suggests that iconic Assassin hero Ezio Auditore will return in some capacity. However, it’s unclear exactly how this will play out, with j0nathan indicating that Ezio won’t be physically present in the game. Instead, he may appear via some sort of Isu recording, such as a memory disc or similar technology. This technology could be similar to the memory discs Ezio used to learn more about Altaïr in Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

A warning is in order for those who do not want to know more about the game’s plot.

Warning! Potential spoilers for Assassin’s Creed Hexe follow:

The exact nature of Ezio’s involvement remains unclear. However, it’s reportedly not a straightforward case of Ezio running around in Hexe’s European forests.

It’s worth noting that games in development are subject to change. Indeed, Hexe has reportedly undergone recent changes to rework its magical elements. None of this information comes officially from Ubisoft, although the leaker has a track record of accurate information.

Earlier this month, j0nathan sparked an official response from Ubisoft when he shared a work-in-progress image of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Invictus multiplayer spinoff. Ubisoft claimed the image had been altered using AI, which j0nathan later admitted to. He then published the original, unedited screenshot.

Ubisoft has been contacted for further comment.
