Earlier in the year, Lava introduced the Shark 4G model in March, then released the 5G variant by May. Now the company has unveiled the Lava Shark 2. This new device is a 5G phone running on the Unisoc T8200 system on chip.
Inside, the device features 4GB of memory alongside 64GB of internal space. Users can add more capacity with a microSD card supporting up to 1TB. It comes preloaded with Android 16. There are no unwanted apps or advertisements included. Lava guarantees one major operating system update and security patches for a period of two years.

A 6.75-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate forms the display. A small notch houses the 5MP front-facing camera. On the back, a 13MP sensor handles the main photography. Power comes from a large 6,000 mAh cell. Although the phone supports 18W fast charging, the included charger is limited to 10W output.

Additional features include a standard 3.5mm audio port. The device carries an IP64 dust and water resistance rating. Security is handled by a fingerprint sensor located on the side.
Buyers can choose between Sonar Gold and Arya Blue finishes. The price is set at INR 11,999. Sales begin on June 10 across India via physical stores. The manufacturer also includes its “Free Service @ Home” programme for improved customer support.
