Lenovo has returned to the smartphone arena with the Legion Y70 (2026). The Chinese tech giant has not launched a phone under its own brand since the Y90 in 2022. The Legion Y70 is a gaming phone with powerful specs and a massive 8,000mAh battery. It also features 90W charging and bypass charging capabilities.
The Legion Y70 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite) SoC, 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at up to 9,600Mbps, and 256GB of UFS 4.1-speed storage. The phone’s cooling system includes a 5,500mm2 vapor chamber, which can reduce the CPU core temperature by 7°C.
The Legion Y70’s battery life is impressive. The phone packs an 8,000mAh battery with 90W charging, supporting bypass charging. Lenovo claims the battery will last two days on a single charge and remain efficient for up to 7 years or 1,200 cycles.
The display is a 6.8-inch OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 7,000 nits of peak brightness, and Dolby Vision support.
The camera setup includes a 50MP 1/1.56-inch wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens that can focus as close as 2.5cm, and a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies.
The Legion Y70 is available for pre-order, starting at CNY 3,099 (€390). It comes in two colours, Ice Soul White and Carbon Black, and offers several storage configurations: 12/256GB, 12/512GB, 16/512GB, and 1TB/512GB.
