Vivo has officially unveiled the S60 smartphone series in China, introducing two new models to the lineup. The previous generation featured the S50 and S50 Pro mini, but this time around the S60 Pro mini is absent. According to industry reports, it is expected to arrive in the fall as the Vivo X500e. Instead, Vivo added a more affordable option called the S60 Vitality Edition.

Vivo S60 Vitality Edition and Vivo S60
The standard S60 and its Vitality Edition counterpart both feature 7,200mAh batteries and 6.59-inch AMOLED screens, building on the foundation of the S50 with meaningful upgrades. The base model nearly mirrors its predecessor, though Vivo bumped the battery capacity from 6,500 mAh to 7,200 mAh. The main camera also gained slightly improved light sensitivity, and the design now features a flattened “plateau” area where a ring light joins the standard LED flash to match current trends. Otherwise, the phone carries over the same 6.59-inch display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus, triple rear cameras (main, ultrawide, and periscope), ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and water resistance rating.
The Vivo S60 Vitality Edition serves as a budget-friendly alternative to the standard S60. It drops the periscope camera entirely and swaps the Snapdragon chip for a slower Dimensity 7500 processor. Every other specification remains identical, including the color options. Buyers can choose from three finishes: blue, green, or black.
Pricing for the Vivo S60 increased by 600 yuan compared to the S50, with the lineup starting at 3,599 yuan (approximately $503 / €462). The Vivo S60 Vitality Edition begins at 2,899 yuan (about $405 / €372) for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage configuration. Chinese sales are scheduled to begin on June 3, 2026, though a global release appears unlikely.
