Vivo has launched the iQOO 15T, a smartphone with a name that may cause confusion. The device’s specifications are quite different from the iQOO 15 and iQOO 15 Ultra. Instead of a top-tier Qualcomm chip and a versatile triple-camera setup, the iQOO 15T features a MediaTek processor and a dual-camera system. The reason for these differences is straightforward: the device was initially planned as an enhanced version of the iQOO Neo 11, possibly as the iQOO Neo 11S, but market conditions led to high production costs, forcing Vivo to reclassify it as part of the iQOO 15 series.

The iQOO 15T shares many similarities with the iQOO Neo 11, including the same dimensions, a 6.82-inch LTPO BOE Q10+ display, an outdated USB 2.0 port, and a 16-MP front camera. Key upgrades include a 200-MP main camera module, a 50-MP wide-angle lens with autofocus, an increased battery capacity from 7500 to 8000 mAh, and a standard Dimensity 9500 processor, which Vivo has dubbed the “Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition.”

Despite these changes, the iQOO 15T retains a metal frame, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, symmetrical speakers, and the absence of the 20th LTE band. Sales in China began at the time of the launch, with prices starting at 4,099 yuan (€525, $578) which is significantly higher than the 2,699 yuan (€345, $381) for the iQOO Neo 11. The colour options include grey with a red tint, black, and white.
