The Xiaomi 17 Max smartphone marked the debut of the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro fitness tracker in China. Unlike the Xiaomi Band 10 released last year, the new Band 10 Pro is a successor to the Xiaomi Band 9 Pro, which came out nearly two years ago. Despite the considerable time between releases, the list of upgrades is modest. The new device is 1.1mm thinner and 2.9g lighter, with a slightly brighter screen. Peak brightness has increased from 1200 to 2000 nits.
In other respects, the Band 10 Pro is largely the same as its predecessor. It features a 1.74″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 336 x 480 pixels, a 60Hz refresh rate, and automatic brightness adjustment. The device is water-resistant up to 5 ATM and powered by a 350mAh battery, offering up to 21 days of use. Inside, there’s a linear vibration motor, GPS and NFC modules, a Bluetooth 5.4 modem, a heart rate sensor, and a blood oxygen sensor. The tracker supports over 150 sports modes, training and sleep quality monitoring, and is compatible with smartphones running Android 8 or iOS 14.0 and later.
Prices have risen compared to the previous model. The base version with an aluminium body costs 429 yuan (€59, $66), while the ceramic edition is 499 yuan (€70, $78). Xiaomi also offers optional replacement straps in various materials, ranging from 99 yuan (€14, $15) for a rubber strap to 199 yuan (€28, $31) for a Milanese loop. The Xiaomi Band 10 Pro is expected to reach the global market later this year.
