GTA 6 Set for November 2026 Launch, Take-Two Confirms, Quashing Delay Rumours

Last Updated: May 21, 2026

GTA 6 is confirmed for a launch on 19 November 2026, Take-Two has announced, dispelling any fears of further delays. The release date was reaffirmed by Take-Two, which owns the game’s developer Rockstar Games.

In an interview with IGN ahead of Take-Two’s 2026 fiscal year financial results, CEO Strauss Zelnick said, “I’ve been saying for some time that the release date is November 19. We obviously reiterated that today, so we feel really good about it.”

Take-Two, which owns Rockstar Games, the development studio behind GTA 6, reported its financial results for the 2026 fiscal year. The company expects a “breakout year,” with GTA 6 leading the charge as “the most anticipated entertainment property of all time.” Rockstar is set to launch the GTA 6 marketing campaign this summer, as fans eagerly await the release of Trailer 3.

Take-Two anticipates revenue of $8-8.2 billion for the 2027 fiscal year, a 20% increase from the previous year. This surge is primarily attributed to the launch of GTA 6. In the 2026 financial year, Take-Two reported revenue of $6.72 billion, so the impact of GTA 6 could add up to $1.5 billion.

Earlier this month, Business Insider reported that Take-Two has spent between $1-1.5 billion on GTA 6 so far. The game is also expected to be the biggest entertainment launch of all time, setting new records for video game sales and revenue.

GTA 6 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on 19 November 2026.
