Oppo has started distributing ColorOS 16 to Find and Reno series smartphones, with the staged rollout beginning May 5, 2026, and full availability expected by May 31.

Live Space leads the changes in this release. The lock screen now handles more smoothly, with fluid animations and a cleaner feel overall. Capsule-style notifications keep real-time updates visible without cluttering the display.

O+ Connect also sees an upgrade. Users can now move files back and forth between Oppo hardware and Apple devices without friction.

On the AI side, the update packs several new tools. AI Mind Pilot, AI Grouping, AI Menu Translation, AI Popout, and AI Scan all debut with this build, targeting both organization and creative tasks.

- Context awareness improves real-time interpretation accuracy in Live Translation.
- AI Recording Sticker lets users drop text and image markers onto recordings or playback to flag important moments.

- App Cloner now supports running three separate instances of supported apps, making it easier to split work, personal, and entertainment accounts.
- A LUMO watermark option joins the camera tools for stronger image branding.

- The Eye Comfort settings page has been cleaned up with simpler controls and a tidier layout.
Oppo confirmed eligible devices include recent Find and Reno series handsets, such as the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro, alongside flagship models in the Find lineup.

Users of recent Find X series hardware should also expect the update, as Oppo typically prioritizes its current-generation flagships. Those watching Find X9s pricing developments may note that existing devices remain supported alongside new releases.
