Supergirl fans have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming DC Universe. The character is set to play a pivotal role in the future of the DC Universe. In an interview with Variety, DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran underscored the significance of Supergirl, stating, ‘Supergirl is a major part of what we’re doing.’
While the extent of Supergirl’s involvement in the film Man of Tomorrow is uncertain, her inclusion is not entirely unexpected. Milly Alcock’s portrayal of Kara Zor-El first appeared at the end of 2025’s Superman, showcasing her dynamic with David Corenswet’s Clark Kent and hinting at the complex nature of her character.
Supergirl, set to release in June, picks up after the events of Superman and features encounters with other intergalactic characters, including Lobo.
Man of Tomorrow pairs Superman with Lex Luthor to thwart Brainiac. Beyond this, details about the film remain scarce, although production commenced last month.
Man of Tomorrow already boasts an impressive cast, with Matthew Lilard (rumoured to portray Plastic Man), Adria Arjona (reportedly playing Maxima), and Sinqua Walls joining the ensemble. Additionally, the core cast from James Gunn’s Superman, along with Aaron Pierre from the Lanterns TV series, will be making a return.
