007 First Light to Run at 60fps on PS5 Pro
Concerns about the performance of 007 First Light have been alleviated after IO Interactive confirmed that the upcoming Bond game will run at 60fps. When gameplay was first revealed in September 2025, fans were worried about the choppy frame rate, particularly during intense action sequences.
The confirmation came via a tweet from the game’s official account, stating that 007 First Light will run at 60 FPS on PS5 Pro. The tweet also invited fans to pre-order the game and get a free Deluxe Edition upgrade.
Performance on Other Platforms
While IO Interactive hasn’t addressed performance on Xbox Series X, it’s likely to offer similar performance and quality modes as the base PS5 version. However, the Xbox Series S version is more questionable due to its weaker hardware, which typically limits graphics options.
Game Release and Reception
Despite performance concerns, 007 First Light has generated significant hype. A glowing preview was given earlier this month, and IO Interactive has assured fans that they won’t abandon their roots in the Hitman franchise in favor of 007. The game is set to release on May 27, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
