Online chatter is growing about the imminent Galaxy S27 Pro, which is expected to join the Galaxy S27 flagship line. Building on existing details, informant Ice Universe has revealed that Samsung plans to equip the ‘pro’ model with the main and ultra-wide cameras from the Galaxy S27 Ultra (200 and 50 MP).
However, the zoom module is anticipated to be less advanced. According to the source, a 200-MP periscope zoom is unlikely, as it would create unnecessary internal competition. Ice Universe speculates that Samsung might offer a 3.5x zoom using innovative ALoP optics with a 50-MP sensor. However, this remains a fan theory for now.
Similar insights were shared by a Korean source, Yeux1122. They claim that the Galaxy S27 Pro will feature a nearly identical camera setup to the cancelled Galaxy S26 Edge. Given that the latter was rumoured to have a 200-MP main module and 50-MP ultra-wide, this aligns with Ice Universe’s information. Yeux1122 notes that the similarity does not extend to the number of camera modules, suggesting the addition of the aforementioned zoom module.
Yeux1122 also highlights Samsung’s aim to increase battery capacity and improve the display to match Ultra devices. There is a worrying note for Samsung fans, however, who were disappointed by the ‘features’ of the innovative Privacy Display in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Regarding the Galaxy S27 Pro’s pricing, the source hints at a starting price similar to the Galaxy S25 Edge, which launched at $1,100 (€1,030, 82,600 rubles).
