In a move that suggests the company is not resting on its laurels, OnePlus is already working on the successor to the Ace 6, which was launched in October last year. This information comes from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, who claims that the Ace 7 is currently in the engineering sample stage.
The upcoming OnePlus Ace 7 will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and will feature a 6.78-inch screen with a “1.5K” resolution. Although the refresh rate has not been finalised, it is expected to be at least 185Hz, with the possibility of it going up to 240Hz. This would make the Ace 7 one of the most impressive devices in terms of display capabilities.

The device will be powered by a 9,000 mAh battery, which will support 100W fast wired charging. Additionally, there have been rumours that the Ace 7 may come with an active cooling fan, although this feature is still being tested and has not been confirmed. It is likely that the company is still weighing the pros and cons of including this feature in the final product.
Given that the Ace 7 is expected to be released around October, similar to its predecessor, there is still plenty of time for more information about the device to emerge. As a result, fans of the brand can expect to hear more leaks and rumours about the Ace 7 in the coming months, which will likely provide a clearer picture of what to expect from the device.
