The latest addition to the Xiaomi 17 series is the 17 Max, a device that forgoes the secondary rear screen of the 17 Pro Max. Instead, it boasts a 200MP main camera and an 8,000 mAh Si/C battery, making it a powerhouse in its own right. The 17 Max is designed for users who prioritise battery life and camera performance over the extra screen.

Xiaomi claims the 17 Max will last over two days on a single charge. The battery is rated to retain up to 80% of its capacity even after 1,600 charging cycles, which equates to over four years of daily use. When it is time to recharge, the 17 Max supports up to 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Additionally, the device can provide up to 22.5W reverse wired charging to other devices.

The 17 Max is powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. This combination ensures smooth performance and ample space for apps and media.
