Vivo has quietly launched its newest midrange smartphone, the V70 Lite, in the United Arab Emirates without much fanfare. The device retains the core identity of its predecessor while delivering a noticeable boost in processing power.

Under the hood, the phone runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Turbo, replacing the Dimensity 7360 found in the V60 Lite. These two chips are very similar on paper, but the 7400 Turbo pushes its ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores to 2.6 GHz, a slight step up from the 2.5 GHz limit of the older silicon. Users can choose between 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage.

The display remains unchanged from the previous model. It features a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 3,000 nits, and a 32MP selfie camera is housed in a centered punch hole. An optical fingerprint sensor is also built directly into the screen.

On the back, the main camera utilizes a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens. The battery capacity stays steady at 6,500mAh, supporting 90W wired charging via the included adapter. OriginOS 6, built on Android 16, manages the software experience. This power setup mirrors what Vivo fitted into the Y600 Turbo, a recent release designed specifically for long endurance.

Buyers can select from black or gold finishes. Pricing starts at AED 1,099 (approximately €257) for the 8GB/128GB model, while the 8GB/256GB version costs AED 1,299 (approximately €304). The V70 Lite launches as competitors like Oppo prepare even larger batteries for their upcoming A-series devices, highlighting a wider industry shift toward multi-day battery life.
