Huawei has quietly introduced the nova Y74 to global markets, arriving roughly a year after the nova Y73 hit shelves. This budget-friendly 4G handset features a 6.67-inch display and a substantial 6,620mAh battery. Early assessments suggest the device is a rebadged version of the Enjoy 90 Plus, which launched in China back in March.

The nova Y74 is equipped with a 6.67-inch LCD panel that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. It offers HD+ resolution and reaches a peak brightness of 850 nits, ensuring visibility even in bright conditions.

Huawei has not officially confirmed the exact processor inside the device. However, the phone’s close relationship to the Enjoy 90 Plus points toward a Kirin 800-series chipset, which is common for this tier of hardware.

A 6,620mAh battery serves as the core of the device, paired with 40W wired fast charging. According to the manufacturer, this capacity allows users to enjoy up to 25 hours of online video playback before needing to recharge.

On the imaging front, the nova Y74 features a 50MP main camera housed within a square module. An 8MP front-facing sensor handles selfies and video calls.

The phone ships with EMUI 12 and includes Huawei’s X Button. This feature provides one-tap access to apps, shortcuts, and other useful tools for a streamlined experience.

Buyers can choose the Huawei nova Y74 in Black or Blue. Huawei has not yet shared pricing or specific availability details for the device. For those comparing options within the brand’s current lineup, the Huawei Nova 16 and 16 Pro launched with massive 7,000mAh batteries and 50MP RYYB periscope cameras earlier this year. Meanwhile, the Huawei Nova 16 Ultra unveiled with 200MP camera and massive 7,000 mAh battery remains the top-end option.
