Former Fortnite Boss Teases Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Could Drop Soon

A first look at Avengers: Doomsday could arrive sooner than expected, thanks to a hint from former Fortnite boss Donald Mustard.

Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors behind Avengers: Doomsday, are scheduled to appear at the SXSW London 2026 festival on June 2. Mustard will join them on stage to discuss the upcoming project.

On June 1, Mustard posted on X/Twitter with a London address and noted that the event kicks off at 10am, teasing a “surprise at 2pm.” That timing has sparked speculation about whether fans will finally get the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday.

The tease builds on an earlier hint from the Russos, which was simply a solid green image. The color closely matched the cloak worn by Doctor Doom, and follow-up teaser images confirmed it as the flag of Latveria. The flag incorporates Doom’s symbol from the comics, used as the Latverian insignia during his reign. Marvel fans have been anticipating a trailer since the Avengers: Doomsday logo first dropped, and tomorrow’s event could deliver.

More of Doom seems likely at the festival, though a complete trailer remains uncertain. Disney may prefer to hold that reveal for its confirmed Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con next month. The studio also faces pressure from fans eager for the next Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer, given that film’s earlier release date.

Whatever appears tomorrow, coverage will go live here as it unfolds. For those tracking from the US, 2pm UK time translates to 6am Pacific or 9am Eastern.

Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars following on December 17, 2027. Marvel continues to expand its universe in new directions, including projects that bring back iconic figures through emerging technology.
