Developers across Europe have received a significant boost from Apple. The tech giant announced plans to open its first Apple Developer Center on the continent, with the facility scheduled to launch in Berlin’s Mitte district later this year. Apple currently operates similar Developer Centers in Bengaluru, Cupertino, Shanghai, and Singapore.
The new Berlin location will host workshops covering the full Apple ecosystem. Attendees can explore iOS for phones, iPadOS for tablets, macOS for desktops, watchOS for smartwatches, tvOS for streaming devices, and visionOS for XR headsets. This move aligns with other recent company announcements, including the confirmation of Apple’s June 2026 WWDC Launch Date and the full agenda for the upcoming event, which is detailed in Apple unveils full programme for WWDC 2026.
Beyond group sessions, developers will be able to book face-to-face meetings and one-on-one appointments with Apple specialists for hands-on project guidance. The center will feature consultation spaces and specialized labs staffed by “Apple experts in multiple languages.” While the phrasing leaves some ambiguity regarding whether this refers to spoken languages or programming languages, it most likely covers both bases.

Apple already maintains an Apple Developer Academy in Naples, Italy, along with Apple Foundation Programs in Italy and France. For smaller development shops, the App Store Small Business Program offers a reduced 15% commission rate for operations earning under €1 million in a calendar year.
The announcement also highlighted a major metric regarding user engagement. Apple App Stores across Europe averaged 150 million weekly users last year, though specific sources for this figure were not immediately provided in the press release.
