New Ubisoft titles for Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon due before March 2029

Last Updated: May 20, 2026

Ubisoft has set a deadline of March 2029 to release new instalments of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon. This was revealed in their latest financial report, which outlined their plans for the 2027-28 and 2028-29 financial years. The report highlighted a robust and diverse content pipeline, with key releases across these three major franchises. One of the standout titles is Assassin’s Creed Hexe, inspired by witchcraft. This game is anticipated to launch at some point in 2027. Fans of Far Cry have been waiting for a new release since Far Cry 6 was released in 2021. Ghost Recon, meanwhile, has not had a mainline release since 2019’s Breakpoint.

Ubisoft views Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon as its flagship franchises. They did not mention Beyond Good and Evil 2, or the Splinter Cell remake. Ubisoft also revealed that they have canceled seven projects and delayed six in the past year. Live service games such as Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2, The Crew Motorfest, and For Honor were discussed.

Ubisoft has faced a challenging period, with approximately 1,200 employees leaving the company. At the end of March 2026, Ubisoft’s total headcount stood at 16,590. The company has €1.16 billion (approx. $1.35 billion) in cash from Chinese megacorp Tencent to aid in its business turnaround.

Ubisoft’s next major release is Black Flag Resynced, scheduled for 9 July. The company reported, “The remake’s reveal “generated strong engagement across the Assassin’s Creed community, with players praising the game’s modernized presentation and expanded gameplay features while recognizing its faithfulness to the original experience. Early pre-order momentum has been particularly strong, notably in China, ranking among the franchise’s best performances over the first three weeks.”
