The Trump Mobile T1 Phone, initially slated for release in August of last year, has left many customers who placed a £100 pre-order waiting until now. The phone’s launch appears imminent, as the company has begun distributing units to media outlets. This suggests that customer shipments will commence shortly.

However, there are some surprises in store for those who haven’t kept up with recent developments. The design of the phone has changed significantly from the initial concept. Additionally, the American flag on the back of the phone features 11 stripes instead of 13.

Another notable change is the phone’s manufacturing label. Contrary to earlier announcements, the phone isn’t manufactured in the US. Instead, it’s “proudly assembled in the US,” indicating that most, if not all, parts are imported.

The entry-level 256GB model remains priced at £499. While this price point is competitive within the US market, the rumoured specifications do not seem to justify the cost.

The manufacturer has not officially released any specifications. However, a representative hinted at the phone’s features a few months ago. The expected specs include a Snapdragon 7 series chipset, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a 50MP main camera. This camera is accompanied by an ultrawide lens and a dedicated telephoto shooter.

Furthermore, the phone supports microSD storage expansion and includes a legacy 3.5mm audio jack. These features, along with the overall design, suggest that the Trump Mobile T1 is likely a rebadged HTC U24 Pro phone from 2024.
