Sony’s State of Play presentation in June 2026 delivered a first look at three new playable fighters for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Carnage, Green Goblin, and Magneto are all set to enter the ring.

The gameplay reveal confirmed these three villains will fight alongside Doctor Doom, who leads the Knights of Doom squad. Arc System Works plans to launch its comic book fighting game on August 6, 2026. This marks the first time the public has seen this particular team in action.

Players have anticipated Doctor Doom’s arrival for a while now. His three partners, on the other hand, represent fresh reveals. You can check out gameplay footage for Carnage, Green Goblin, and Magneto below.

Carnage had been the subject of speculation after a cleverly disguised teaser dropped a few weeks back. That foreshadowing means his inclusion might not shock everyone, though Magneto and Green Goblin still land as genuine surprises outside of scattered leaks and rumors.

For those keeping tabs on Marvel’s broader moves, the company has been pushing darker territory with its mutant properties lately. Recent reports suggest Marvel reinvents X-Men via darker storylines that could influence how characters like Magneto play in fighting game form. Meanwhile, Arc System Works has confirmed that Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls’ 10-hour story mode will include gameplay, giving solo players substantial content beyond the competitive roster.

Here is everything announced at State of Play June 2026 if you need to catch up on what PlayStation has planned.
