Five new LG gram, which focus on productivity and nomadic uses, join the lineup of the South Korean manufacturer for this year of 2021.
On the occasion of CES 2021, which is being held in virtual form this year, LG Electronics is announcing its new ultralight and ultra-portable laptops from the “gram” range.
CES 2021: LG renews its range of ultrabooks
Indeed, Five references make up the LG gram lineup for this year:
- LG gram 17 (model 17Z90P)
- LG gram 16 (model 16Z90P)
- LG gram 14 (model 14Z90P)
- LG gram 2-in-1 16 (model 16T90P)
- LG gram 2-in-1 14 (model 14T90P)
They all share one thing: a 16:10 aspect ratio screen designed to improve productivity. IPS LCD technology, they display a definition of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels on the 16 and 17 inch models and 1,920 x 1,200 pixels on the 14 inches. Of course, the LG gram 2-in-1 are equipped with a touch screen and are compatible with a stylus provided (Wacom AES 2.0) for use in tablet mode (the hinge tilts 360 °).
Designed for mobile use, the LG gram lineup are easy to transport thanks to their compact size and light weight: from 999 to 1,480 grams depending on the model. The manufacturer indicates that it has enlarged the keyboard and the touchpad for faster and easier entry and navigation in the interface.
Generous autonomy announced
For performance, LG relies on 11th generation Intel Core processors, with several possible configurations. They have an integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU. Several variations of each model are available, with the user having the choice of 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
On this type of product, the emphasis should be on autonomy. The manufacturer reports up to 19.5 hours of endurance for the 16 and 17 inch models.
As for the connectivity, these ultrabooks consist of two USB 4 Gen3x2 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen2x1 ports (only one on the 2-in-1), an HDMI socket (absent on the 2-in-1 models), a microSD slot / UFS and a 3.5mm jack port for audio.
